Måns Salomonsen
Is a Swedish design student who was born 1986 in a small village called Järna,
50 km south of Stockholm. He did his upper secondary school studies at a Waldorf
school where he studied various art subjects. After graduating upper secondary
school he left Sweden to backpack his way around the world for 10 months. While
travelling in New Zeeland, he decided to apply for a two-year foundation course
in cabinetmaking.
After returning from his travels, he collected his belongings and moved to the
school Steneby, which is located in a small village called Dals Långed. During
his two years on the course he developed his cabinetmaking skills to a high level.
When he finished the foundation course he decided to continue studies and started
a three year bachelor course in Wood oriented Furniture Design, also at Steneby.
Måns is right now doing his second year at the design course and will take his
BA exam in furniture design 2012.
